Political Studies

Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.

The study of politics gives students an understanding of the ways governments, nation-states and international actors influence and shape power relations in society and around the globe. It examines the roles of ideologies, institutions, and convictions in contributing to greater or lesser justice in the public order. It introduces students to politics and governments on the local, national and international level as well as the process of making, and the content of, public policies, laws and the common good.
