11 Jodi Bazak.jpg

Jodi Bazak - Women's Soccer

This week the Eagles took on two very strong teams in the ACAC, The Grant MacEwan Griffins and the 4th place team from last year’s CCAA national championships, The Concordia Thunder.  The King’s University Eagle’s 1st year Midfielder/Defenseman Jodi Bazak was able to solidly stand up against both squads to defend the net against the onslaught of attacks that came through the air and on the ground. Against Concordia she worked extremely hard to get around the pitch and help her teammates move the ball, while against Grant MacEwan she was put into a new fullback position where she consistently won the ball and played a very physical game to match the strong Griffins. Her determination, talent and positive attitude make her an outstanding contribution to the King’s Women’s soccer team and we are excited to see her in next week’s game against NAIT and Grand Prairie.

Congratulations to Jodi for being the Eagles Female Athlete of the Week!
