Coach Turner is now with the King’s Men’s Volleyball program but has coached in the ACAC Conference for the past twenty years. He has coached the Medicine Hat College Rattlers Women’s and Men’s teams(1989-1999), and the NAIT Ooks Women’s and Men’s teams (1999-2008). During that time he has had numerous All-Conference and All-Canadian players and was fortunate to coach some quality student-athletes who have moved on to successful careers. He was also selected as the ACAC Coach of the Year twice during that time.
On top of the college coaching, Coach Turner has coached numerous club teams from the junior high level up to a U21 Junior Men’s team. He has been actively involved with promoting the game of volleyball around Alberta, participating in volleyball camps, planning and organizing Junior and Senior Volleyball tournaments and being on the AVA general committee.
He is very excited to be coaching some fine young men who continue to impress him each day on and off the court and looks forward to an exciting season.
