Campus Life

We have been changing some things this summer!

Student Life has moved!

Student life now resides where the Registry was, and Registry has moved down the hall to a better layed out office space. You can walk into Student Life enjoying their open door policy and brightly colored new space. See (almost) everyone that you are looking for in one spot!

  • Eric McIntosh is the new Dean of Students

  • Kristen Drent can help you find who you need to talk to.
  • Heather Gilker is the Apartment Resident Director
  • Paul Jensen is the Tower Resident Director
  • Kara Lise de Jong facilitates international connections.
  • Tim Wood is our interim Campus Minister - located in the main hallway for easy access.
  • Wes Moerman is the new Coordinator of Student programs - also located in the main hallway.

If you have more questions of what each person does, check out the staff page!

Another great development this year is a change in the laundry facilities.

Coinamatic will be providing services for King's students in the residences for all our laundry needs. NO MORE COINS! You can eliminate the run to 7-11 for loonies and quarters on laundry day. Smart cards, provided through the Registry, can be loaded with up to $50 and you never have to search for change again.

Nine brand new Smart Card front load Huebsch digital display laundry washer and dryers will be installed. These front load washers can handle double loads, sleeping bags, blankets, coats, and other bulky items, and save detergent by using only 1/4 of a cup.

There will be a debit/credit reload centre machine installed in the tower and in the apartment laundry room. There is also a reload centre at Capilano Shell at 4945 - 101 Ave. "Top Up" And "Supercycle" features on the machines will add an extra five or ten minutes of drying time or an extra wash and rinse for a nominal charge.

No refunds will be given for any smart card value in the event of a lost or stolen card. Replacement of a card may come at a charge. We are still working these details out, so watch for more information!
