Canadian University Report 2010 Survey

It’s time again to see how The King’s University College measures up with other universities in Canada! The Globe and Mail Canadian University Report survey is on NOW! Please take this opportunity to voice your thoughts and opinions about your student experience here at King’s.
The purpose of the survey is to explore student experiences at universities across Canada on topics ranging from professors to parking, athletics to extracurricular activities. The results will be published in the Globe and Mail`s Ninth Annual University Report Card, to be released in fall 2010. Aggregate institutional data will also be made available to King’s so that we can assess student satisfaction and opinions on various aspects of campus life.
Once you have completed the survey, you will be asked to enter your email address into a draw for one of the twenty national cash prizes of $100 each. In addition, you’ll be eligible to win tickets to the upcoming U2 concert at Commonwealth Stadium, and a $100 gift card to The Keg courtesy of King’s!

When your reach the survey webpage, you will be required to enter your King’s-issued email address (to verify that you are a student here) The format of your King’s email address is: firstname.lastname@lab.kingsu.ca
At the beginning of the survey you need to confirm the institution where you are a student. Please note that King’s is listed under “T” (for The King's University College).
The Globe and Mail University Report Card online survey is active now. It should take you approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete. For your convenience, computer stations will be set up on campus and refreshments will be provided.
Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and all of your responses will be kept confidential. No personally identifiable information will be associated with your responses in any reports of this data. Neither HESA (the company that is managing the survey) nor the Globe and Mail will give, trade, sell or distribute any individual information that you provide. While you will be asked to enter your university email address in order to begin the survey or enter the draw prize, your email address will not be linked to the survey data and will be used purely to verify that you are eligible to participate in the survey. Each email address will be coded so that individual students cannot answer the survey more than once.
I want to stress the importance of this survey for King’s – and for you! The Canadian University Report put King’s on a national stage, and demonstrates to prospective students that in choosing King’s they choosing quality university education. The survey results help us learn how we can make this a still better place to learn and live. The improved food service and the WORKout Centre resulted from student feedback on the University Report. National recognition for King’s is also valuable for your career or graduate school aspirations.
For King’s to be included in the Canadian University Report, at least 230 students must complete the survey. That’s 40% of our student body! Although this is a tall order, you’ve reached this goal three times before, and I’m sure you can do it again.
Should you have any questions or comments, please free to contact Edyta Kaznowska who works for the survey company.
Thanks very much for considering this invitation. I’m already looking forward to reading and learning from the results!
