Student Association
The King's Student Association (SA) is a student group which enables students to be involved in the governing and decision-making process of The King's University College, and to be involved in activities and services which will encourage interaction among students, enrich their college experience, and foster an awareness of a student community, a larger college community, and the surrounding Christian and secular community. All students who attend The King's University College and have paid the Student Association Fee are considered members of the Student Association. There is an elected council that leads the SA and represent the entire student body. The SA council consist of 9 members who meet weekly to plan events, attend meetings, and voice concerns from the student body. Job Descriptions
President, Kevin Bandstra
The President has the general responsibility of ensuring that the TKUCSA fulfills its mandate and overseeing all of the general projects of the Association. The President chairs all SA meetings on a non-voting basis, and shall only vote to break a tie. The President also prepares an agenda for each meeting. The President acts as the official spokesperson of the TKUCSA to all bodies internal and external unless otherwise indicated. The President is also responsible for establishing any ad-hoc committee deemed necessary to the effective operation of TKUCSA. Finally, the President is responsible for maintaining continuity over the summer by initiating correspondence with the rest of the SA. sa.president@kingsu.ca
Vice President Administration, David Heavenor
The Vice President Administration represents the student body on all internal matters. She or he deals appropriately with student issues and concerns that arise in the student body relating to internal issues (i.e. cafeteria food, registry). She or he sits on the Board of Governors, the Senate, and Faculty Council. She or he also assists the SA President by helping with her or his workload, acting as the first replacement for the President, and being a being a member of the Executive along with President, VP External and VP Finance. The VP Administration also coordinates bookings of Student Association Centre and prepares an annual report on SA activities. sa.vpinternal@kingsu.ca
Vice President Communication, Nick De Waal
The VP Communication represents the student body on all external matters. She or he deals with students from other schools and sits on the board for the Association of Christian University Colleges (ACUC). She is responsible for monthly meetings with the presidents from other schools in Alberta and working on King’s behalf to inform students of relevant governmental policies. The VP Communication is also responsible for maintaining the SA website and for assisting the president with workload. sa.vpexternal@kingsu.ca
Vice President Finance, Mychele Freund
The VP Finance is in charge of the distribution and tracking of money going in and out of the Student Association's hands. He or she is also in charge of presenting the budget proposal for the council's approval. The other duties of this position include all things related to the finances, such as dealing with investments, end of the year accounting, the student relief fund, and financial statements. sa.vpfinance@kingsu.ca
Social Coordinators, Terri McCausland and Joel Van Egmond
The Social coordinators exist on the SA so that students can experience the joy and wonder of a socially active life within the student fellowship and other parts of the Kings University College community. More specifically we work to set up ice-cream sundae parties, concerts, open microphone nights, movie nights, dances, battle of the bands, and barbecues. They are typically responsible for advertising SA associated events around the school. The two social coordinators are active members on the SA and help out in whatever areas they can. sa.socialcoordinator@kingsu.ca
Spiritual Life and Clubs, Leanne Voogd
The spiritual and community life rep. is responsible for ensuring that clubs are running well, maintaining contact with clubs and, when necessary, bringing concerns or problems to TKUCSA for discussion and action. She or he is responsible for soliciting and obtaining budgets from clubs. She or he prepares reports of club activities, problems, and progress at the end of each term. The Spiritual life rep. sits on the Finance Committee with the treasurer and the social coordinator. He or she is expected to attend regular meetings with the campus minister (or others involved in spiritual leadership,) to discuss matters arising at SA meetings that deal with spiritual life at King's, while at the same time remaining accountable to the SA. She or he is responsible for encouraging students to actively participate in the various spiritual life opportunities at King's. She or he is also supposed to help coordinate Small Groups and Bible studies at the beginning of each semester.

Level Manager, Julie Paquette
The Level Manager is responsible for running the on-campus coffee shop. The position includes hiring and scheduling employees, payroll and sales/cash tracking, as well as, ordering supplies and buying milk. sa.level@kingsu.ca
Secretary, Renelle Reid
The Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at every SA meeting. He or she is also responsible for orchestrating SA elections at the end of each year. Directions on how to run the elections are listed in the constitution. sa.secretary@kingsu.ca
