Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

This program is a two-year after-degree program at King's, therefore, B.Ed. applicants must first have a degree comprising at least 90 credits from an approved institution. The first degree should have at least 3 credits in each of the following subject areas:

  • English
  • History
  • Theology
  • Philosophy
  • Fine Arts
  • Social Science
  • Natural Science (with lab)
  • Either Computing Science or Mathematics

  • B.Ed. applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the last 60 credits of the first degree. Admission into this program is competitive, and space is limited, so apply early! You will need to include the following with your application:

    • A statement providing evidence of significant work experience with children/adolescents including confirmation of this experience from a supervisor, or EDUC 251 or equivalent.
    • An essay (750-1000 words) outlining your philosophy of education, or EDUC 300 or equivalent.
    • A personal recommendation (using the form from the application).

    A personal interview will also be conducted with all applicants.
