Arthur (Boo) Radley Scholarship

One scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded each year to a full-time returning student who is enrolled in English, sociology, or education and was at least 21 years of age when they started their university studies at King’s. To be eligible students must apply, maintain a minimum 3.30 GPA, demonstrate involvement in the King’s student community, and have financial need.

Bert Boren Volunteerism Bursary

Four bursaries of $1,250 each are available to returning students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and enrolled full-time in the Social Sciences (e.g. Psychology, Sociology, etc.) or the Bachelor of Education degree program. Applicants must currently hold a volunteer position in the social service sector. Selection criteria include written confirmation from the student's volunteer supervisor (including a description of the student's role and their time commitment), financial need and satisfactory academic standing (min. 2.00 GPA). These bursaries are made possible by a generous endowment received from the Estate of Robert Tegler (Trust) in recognition of Mr. Bert Boren's service to the Edmonton community. 

Christian Educators of BC Scholarship

student enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program. To be eligible, students must apply,
maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must also
submit a statement of career intentions, demonstrating an intention to seek employment in an independent, Christian school upon graduation.

Two scholarships of $1,500 will be awarded each year to an incoming or returning full-time student enrolled in Business, Education, Biology, Chemistry, Computing Science, Environmental Studies (Natural Science focus), Kinesiology, Mathematics or Physics. To be eligible, students must apply and have either a High School average of 80% or higher on high school entrance marks or maintain a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA). Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate financial need in addition to meeting all other scholarship eligibility requirements.

Lynn Nanninga Memorial Bursary

A $500 bursary is available each year to a full-time student enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (After Degree) program, or secondarily, to a full-time first year student interested in Education from the Barrhead/Neerlandia, Alberta area. To be eligible, students must maintain a 2.00 GPA or have an average of 65% or better on high school entrance marks. Selection criteria include academic achievement, demonstrated Christian commitment and financial need. This bursary was established in memory of Lynn Nanninga who was a student at King's from 1995-1998.

Marianne Klein Education Bursary

Two bursaries of $1,500 will be awarded each year to full-time incoming or returning students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (elementary) program. To be eligible students must apply, have a 2.75 or higher G.P.A., and be from outside of Alberta. Preference will be given to students from British Columbia and applicants who desire to serve in Christian education with an interest in special education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide statements of Christian commitment and career intentions.

Returning B.Ed. Student Scholarship - Excellence

Secondly, students must enrol in 12 credits per semester for the upcoming academic year. All students meeting the criteria will receive this scholarship; no application is necessary. Awards are subject to verification of eligibility in September.

Secondly, students must enrol in 12 credits per semester for the upcoming academic year. All students meeting the criteria will receive this scholarship; no application is necessary. For grades based on a different grading system, equivalencies will be used. Recipients must register in at least 12 credits per semester during the academic year to keep their scholarship. No application is necessary. King's will notify recipients in their admission letter. Awards are subject to verification of eligibility in September. 

The King's University Education Admission Scholarship - Honours

William and Hilda Zuidhof Memorial Scholarship

Selection criteria include academic achievement and demonstrated Christian commitment.

vander Sluys Education Scholarship

This scholarship has been established in memory of Fennigjen vander Sluys who was a life-long supporter of Christian education.

Aboriginal Student Fund

King's General Transfer Scholarship

Students must enrol in a minimum of 12 credits per semester the year they receive the scholarship.
