Ensembles at King's

King's offers three performing choirs for choristers of all interest levels and abilities. Auditions are held a few days prior to the start of each new semester and choirs perform throughout the academic year. Alumni and Community Chorus is available to all students and members of the public as a public access course and does not require an audition.

Interested in joining? Contact the Music Department Coordinator for any choir-related inquiries or to schedule an audition.

Chamber Singers

Excellence in ensemble

Looking for a bit of a challenge? King's Chamber Singers is a smaller group of performers, chosen from within the King's Cantorum choir. The group rehearses three times per week (two chamber rehearsals and a joint rehearsal with the Cantorum choir). The difficulty of repertoire requires a higher level of musical ability and is a very rewarding experience.

In addition to repertoire learned with King's Cantorum, members of the Chamber Singers learn a wide range of their own repertoire and have many more performance opportunities, including a solo concert each spring.

Chamber Singers rehearse on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Cantorum

Enhance your musical abilities

Looking for a way to fulfill fine arts credits in your program? The King’s University Concert Choir (King's Cantorum) is a great place to explore a range of classical and sacred choral music, develop vocal and musical skills and take part in various performance opportunities. King's Cantorum provides essential ensemble experience for enhancing musicianship and is required for those registered in private music instruction. Listen to recordings of our choir to get an idea of what joining choir is all about!

Little or no experience? No worries! King's Cantorum is a place for students of all musical abilities to stretch their wings, have fun and experience the joy of singing together.

Cantorum rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
