Chapel

Celebrate God in worship every Wednesday at noon. Join faculty, staff, and students for a 50 minute service which we hope will encourage and challenge you as you live out your faith.

Get Involved!
Each week a number of different people help us worship, whether through planning, running PowerPoint, reading scripture, leading worship, speaking, or participating in a drama. There are lots of ways you can be involved, no matter if you are a behind the scenes type of person or an upfront person. You can commit for the whole year or just help out one week.

Here are some current opportunities:
Power Point Creator: Design our weekly worship slides.
Run Power Point: Be the person in chapel who advances the slides—an easy, yet much needed task!
Reader: We are always looking for people who will read scripture or other writings during chapel.

If you want to be involved in these or any other ways, contact the Campus Minister.

Worship Formation Team:
The Worship Formation Team meets each week to plan chapel. Members of this team include worship team leaders, the student worship assistant, the campus minister, and anyone else who is interested in planning worship. We value the contributions of musicians, writers, liturgists, speakers, pray-ers, and anyone who loves to worship God. If you’d like to be part of this team, talk to the Campus Minister.

Chapel This Semester:

"Getting to Know You" For three weeks in September, we'll focus on the importance of knowing and being known as we welcome new and returning students, faculty, and staff to campus.

"Won’t You Be My Neighbour?" The world is shrinking. What does it mean to be neighbours with people on the other side of the planet? During October, we'll travel the world in chapel. We'll experience music and stories from other cultures as we think and pray about global issues.

"The ‘Rest’ of Your Life" Life is busy. There’s classes, work, homework, friends, clubs, and family time to fill your schedule. But we were designed for a rhythm of life that includes rest. Sabbath is an old practice—but it is it outdated? What does it have to do with students, creation, technology, and community? Join us in November as focus on the 'rest' of your life.
