Derrick Timmermans Memorial Award
On Monday, September 29, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Student-Alumni Lounge the establishment of the Derrick Timmermans Memorial Award was officially announced. The establishment of this award is a student-led initiative in memory of Derrick who passed away February 21, 2008 of complications after a car accident. Derrick’s degree was awarded posthumously at Convocation on May 3, 2008.

The King's Commerce Association recently presented a cheque to Josh Noble in support of The Derrick Timmermans Memorial Award. This award has been established by students in memory of Derrick Timmermans who passed away in Febuary 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident. Accepting the cheque from Commerce Association President Travis Hart and Curtis Friesen, Vice President External is Josh Noble.
