New names for choral groups reflect commitment to dedication

The King’s University is pleased to introduce new names for its performing choirs. The Community Chorus will become the Alumni and Community Chorus, the Concert Choir has been renamed King’s Cantorum, and the Chamber Choir is now King’s Chamber Singers. These changes reflect the high level of dedication and hard work choristers pour into their performances and add prestige and character to much-deserving groups of committed musicians.

A new name for King’s Community Chorus was needed to more precisely represent the changing composition of this group. The new name also reflects a strong desire to see continued alumni engagement and participation with this chorus and the music program moving forward.

Year after year, the university enjoys professionalism and joy embodied by its choirs. With these new names, the university honours those with a passion for choral music at King’s.
