King's set to compete in "One Hour, No Power" campus challenge

What: One Hour, No Power: Campus Challenge in celebration of Earth Hour 2017
When: Contest begins March 3!
Where: Go to earthhourchallenge.ca and click on the link to pledge.
Who: Eleven Alberta post-secondary schools participate.
The goal of this competition is to get as many of our students, staff and faculty to make an online pledge stating that they will participate in Earth Hour 2017 on Saturday, March 25 from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. local time, which means that you pledge to shut down all light and non-essential electrical appliances for at least 1 hour at that time.
The school with the highest percent participation RATE in this online pledge will be designated the winner.
- The contest began at 12:01 a.m. March 3, with the pledge website going live. The goal of this competition is to get as many of your students, staff and faculty to make an online "pledge", stating that they will participate in Earth Hour.
- Interim results will be shared at least once during the contest, to inform everyone of how we are doing.
Calculating a Winner
The school with the highest percent participation of students, staff, and faculty who complete the online pledge form will win the contest.
