Nearing the end of their regular season, The King’s University Eagles women’s volleyball team is in first place in the ACAC north division, and is ranked second in the nation for the CCAA. With 11 wins and only one loss, these Eagles could be soaring their way to the national championship.

Before they can get there the team needs to finish top two in the conference playoffs, being held on February 21 to 23 at Ambrose University (Calgary, AB).

“The competition level of teams in the ACAC is incredibly strong, so it is always difficult to finish in the top two; but our women’s team is not only very talented, they are hard workers who play with heart and for each other every single day,” says head coach, Grace Scott.

If all goes well at conference playoffs, the women’s volleyball team will be off to Niagara College (Welland, ON) to play in the national championship on March 7 to 10.

A number of players on the Eagles women’s volleyball team have been named ACAC athletes of the week, including team captain Sydney Warchola and Jayden Bontkes, who was also named CCAA athlete of the week. These women have helped their team reach great heights.
