Val Martens has been working at King’s since 2016. She started as a volunteer Spiritual Mentor and Life Coach and continues with volunteering. She has since added roles. She was hired by King’s to be Community Wellness Coordinator and has since added Commuter Coordinator.
Val finds great joy in investing in student lives. Her job is to help them understand mental health and learn helpful practices to thrive in every area of their lives. She loves hearing student’s stories and works to bring hope and understanding when life is difficult. Walking with and praying with students who desire to grow in their faith is always a blessing.
Val has a Masters of Divinity and takes mental health training courses regularly. She continues to learn and grow in order to thrive herself, as well as help those around her. She is a wife and mother of three adult children.
