Why you chose King’s:

When I was looking into post-secondary during my grade twelve year I knew I wanted to go to a Christian University and after attending an open house at King’s I knew it was the perfect fit for me. Being welcomed not only by students but also professors shocked me and I knew I wanted those types of professors for my post-secondary education. What really brought me to Kings is the small community and welcoming atmosphere.

What are your post-graduate plans?

After graduating from Kings I hope to go to law school to eventually become a family lawyer.

Caramel Iced Latte

Favourite thing to do on campus?

One of my favourite things to do on campus is participating in the Zumba club on Monday nights. It’s a blast and a great opportunity to hang out with friends.

Favourite thing to do off campus?

My favourite thing to do off campus is going on random adventures with my friends around the city. Such as going skating at different parks in the winter, late night movies, walks in areas of the city we’ve never been, Sunday brunch, and Saturday farmers market.

What did you wish you knew coming into university?

I wish I knew the value of seeking extra help when you need it. There’s nothing worse than feeling stuck on an assignment and not knowing what to do. The professors at Kings are so great and are always willing to give any extra help you need. I wish I knew how easy it is to get extra help coming straight into university rather than struggling on my first few assignments.

Advice for new students?

Learn how to manage your time really well. Find a balance between doing your school work and hanging out with friends. It’s easy to prioritize your social life over school, but remember the end goal that you’re working towards.
