Commuter or Residence Student? Commuter

Why did you choose King’s? I have a lot of family history at King’s. My parents, aunts and uncles, and older sister all attended King’s before I did so the great stories I heard from them initially drew me to King’s. Coming from a small high school I was also really interested in going to a small university where the class sizes would be small and there was a greater sense of community. King’s has given me all of this and more!

What are your post-graduate plans? I am still trying to figure out what my life will look like post-graduation, but in the meantime I am continuing to pursue my passions and explore what interests me. I’m hoping that will lead me in the right direction!

Favourite beverage from Level Coffee House: Americano

Favourite thing to do on campus: Study/chat with friends in The Level!

Favourite thing to do off campus: Go for a run, read, or explore cool events happening in Edmonton such as small concerts or free lectures!

What did you wish you knew coming into university? Coming into university I felt so stressed about picking a degree and knowing what I wanted to do with that degree. I realize now that it is okay to be unsure of your future and your career plans, but I wish I was more aware of this coming into my first year.

Advice for new students? Get help outside of class if you are struggling and make use of professor’s office hours! King’s is unique in the fact that help from professors is so readily available. The professors here at King’s are amazing people and they are more than willing to answer your questions.
