Orientation Team Welcome

Michaelene Poworoznik: Student Life and Orientation Office Assistant

My name is Micha, and I'm a second year Bachelor of Music student in piano performance. I came to King's because of the great programs and tight-knit community. I've been loving every second of being here! This is my first year of planning orientation, and I'm so excited to be sharing how great King's is with all the new students this fall. I can't wait to meet everyone at orientation, and I look forward to helping you make the smoothest transition into university.

The orientation program is an important part of my work at King's. We understand any transition can be stressful, so we are busy preparing to make sure your first experience of King’s is smooth and fun! The biggest way to feel that you belong is to get to know a few people. There are so many opportunities to connect with us and other students, so I encourage you to choose at least one and get stuck in in the first few weeks. I am looking forward to meeting you at Orientation in August.

I am so glad you have chosen to make King's your university! As you adjust to life on campus, you will likely have questions about how to navigate life on campus. When questions come up, bring them to me and I will do my best to provide and answer or to point you in the right direction.

Fun facts about me: I have run 5 half marathons, I play the piano and sing, and I love to bake. I graduated from King's in 2012 with a B.Mus and I love this place so much that I stuck around to serve you!

Welcome to The King's University!  We are so energized by the possibilities that are in store for you and are excited to finally get to see you here on campus. My hope is that your orientation and first year experience will help you successfully transition into university life at The King's University. My role in Student Life is to serve our staff and student leaders so they can, in turn, serve you to the best of their ability. If there is any way I can help you as you transition to King's just let me know!  My office is right off the Level Coffee House.  Just follow the smell of brewing coffee and you will find me!
