At King's, we understand that learning extends beyond our classrooms and beyond the walls of our university so every year, as part of our orientation program, we partner with a local organization to engage in a service-learning opportunity.  This allows us to collaborate with our wider community in an act of service that increases our understanding and awareness of a specific  issue.

Like last year, we will be participating in the City of Edmonton's 'Capital City Clean Up' initiative.

Service-learning will take place on the second day of orientation, Saturday, September 2.  We will meet in the Atrium at 9:45 for a brief talk on impacts of litter in the environment. From there, we will head to Goldbar Park where we will pick up litter, make new friends, and share a meal! Before boarding the bus, make sure to go to your Online Services and sign your waiver.
