If you enjoy watching theatre, Edmonton is the right city for you! We host all kinds of performances, from dramas to improv, from Shakespeare to musicals! Here are some of the places you should check out: Citadel Theatre, Rapid Fire Theatre, Jubilations Dinner Theatre, Freewill Shakespeare Festival, Improvaganza, and Fringe Theatre!

Winspear Centre
Do you enjoy music, especially classical music? Then you'll love the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra! The orchestra performs at the Winspear Centre which hosts musical events ranging from classical works to pop, all in a gorgeous concert hall. Check out their website for concerts and show times.

Art Gallery of Alberta
Visit Alberta's premier art gallery located in the heart of downtown: the Art Gallery of Alberta. The gallery features works from a variety of Alberta artists and rotating installations. They offer free admission from 5-8 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Edmonton City Arts Centre
Looking to try something artsy? The City Arts Centre is the place you want to check out. They host a number of different classes for adults, including baking, cooking, visual art, silversmithing, music, dance, crafts, writing, photography, pottery and sculpture, and more!

Alberta Legislature
Visit the Alberta’s Legislature building and receive a free tour! Also make time to stroll around the lush grounds, gardens, and water features.

Edmonton Valley Zoo
Who doesn’t love animals?! Visit the Edmonton Valley Zoo, and discover over 350 animals from all around the world! The Edmonton Valley Zoo is open all year round, and many of our furry friends are even more active in the cooler weather. Winter admission is cheaper. Make sure to check out the Festival of Light!

Royal Alberta Museum
Visit the Royal Alberta Museum and observe a variety of exhibits that focus on telling Alberta’s history (will reopen in 2017/18). 

Alberta Aviation Museum
Visit the Alberta Aviation Museum and see over 30 different aircraft on display.

TELUS World of Science
Spend a few hours at the TELUS World of Science! Walk through the different exhibits, watch an IMAX show, visit the planetarium, and the observatory!

Muttart Conservatory
The Muttart Conservatory is an indoor botanical garden consisting of four pyramids, each containing a different biome. The fourth pyramid is their feature pyramid, which changes up to eight times a year!

Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market
The Old Strathcona Farmer’s Market is open year-round every Saturday! Check out the different vendors selling produce, baked goods, and crafty creations!

Whyte Ave
Explore the historic Old Strathcona district and find chic boutiques, independent coffee shops, trendy restaurants, and endless entertainment and festivals.

West Edmonton Mall
Mini golf, movie theatre, water park, amusement park, skating rink, 800+ stores of shopping, and more…what more can be said?! Head out to West Edmonton Mall and explore!

Escape Rooms
What are Escape Rooms? You are locked into a room with your closest friends and given a scenario to complete. Using the clues you find in the room, you have to try to break out of the room in the allotted time. This is booming in Edmonton, and there are four different escape room companies to choose from: Escape City, Smarty Pantz and Breakout Entertainment

Board Game Cafés
Get a group of friends together and head out to a board game café to play your choice of board games! There are several in Edmonton: Hexagon, Table Top Board Game Café, BoardnBrew Cafe, and The Gamers' Lodge.

Edmonton Recreation and Leisure Centres
If you're looking for a place to stay fit, Edmonton has a number of different fitness facilities around town. Whether you're looking for a gym, a pool, or something for relaxation, there's a place for you!

These are three of the more popular bowling locations in Edmonton: Bonnie Doon Bowling Lanes, K-J Bowling and Gateway Entertainment.

Laser Tag
Laser tag is always a fun activity when you get a group of friends together! Here are a few different places in Edmonton to check out: Laser Quest, and Gateway Entertainment.

Check out the LaunchPad, and jump in rooms full of trampolines!

Cat Cafe on Whyte - Edmonton's First Cat Cafe
Cat Cafe On Whyte had its grand opening on March 30, 2017. There are two sections to the cafe: the serving side (cat free; where beverages are served) and the cat lounge. They serve a variety of specialty drinks and sweet treats sold fresh daily from local Edmonton bakeries.

Speeders is an indoor go-cart racing track. Get a group of friends together and head out for a race or two.
