Battle of the Bands

Have you been hiding a musical talent from your friends? Now's the time to show it off. Held every March, the annual Battle of the Bands sees King's best (and worst) bands go head to head under an unreal light show. Better start practicing!

River Valley Explorations

Head out for a bike ride, walk, or jog and reconnect with the outdoors.

With over 160 km of pathways and trails, 20 major parks, multiple bridges, and water access points, Edmonton's river valley is the largest urban park in Canada.

Honduras Water Project

Travel to Honduras on this service-learning trip offered through the Micah Centre each May. Work alongside Hondurans on water projects that will benefit communities for years to come. You'll gain an amazing appreciation for the beauty of Honduras and its people.

Geography Field Trips

Alberta is filled with natural wonders, and there's no better time to see them than when the weather warms up. Enrol in a spring session of physical geography for a class filled with field trips and exploration.

Elk Island National Park

A popular site for field research and ecology classes, Elk Island National Park is also a weekend destination for King's students who want a break from the city. Don't worry about fuel costs--the park is less than 30 minutes from campus!

Leadership Hike

Looking for a fun summer elective to get you ahead for next year? This course takes you on a multi-day hike through ancient forests, a 'Valley of a Thousand Falls,' and to a mighty glacier reaching the top of the tallest peak in the Rocky Mountains.
