Job Posting: Accounts Receivable Finance Assistant
Permanent @ 30hrs/wk in Edmonton, AB
This position is responsible for maintaining revenue and contribution related accounting and related monthly reporting functions.
In this role you will:
 Process and maintain contributions within standard accounting practices and CRA guidelines (electronic, debit/credit, cash/cheques).
 Prepare weekly contribution analysis reports and other reporting as required.
 Issue Annual Tax Receipts and Quarterly Giving Statements.
 Process income from church activities, including registrations and external bookings.
 Partner with Finance Manager to create budgeting templates. Administer budgeting templates with staff.
 Fully competent to process payroll bi-weekly.
 Work collaboratively with finance team to ensure accuracy in finances.
 Maintain historical records by filing documents according to financial best practices.
 Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
 Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
 Assist with accounting functions as required by supervisor.
 Other financial tasks and projects as assigned from time to time.

 Comfortable and proficient with data entry.
 Able to maintain confidentiality.
 Excellent computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, ShelbyNext, Church Community Builder, and other related programs.
 Post-secondary training in accounting or finance, or two year’s work experience in related field of employment with a solid understanding of accounting and payroll.
