Jumpstart your career in Canada’s museums and heritage sector!

The Canadian Museums Association (CMA) helps strengthen the museum workforce today and for
the future. We do this in various ways, including by delivering the Young Canada Works (YCW) program

YCW in Heritage Organizations:
an employment program for students

YCW at Building Careers in Heritage:
funds internships for young college or university graduates

Gain professional knowledge and practical skills in museums and heritage
• Increase employability in the sector
• Pursue a career or further studies
• Earn income to support post-graduate studies
• Help support the operation of a museum or heritage institution

The CMA delivers the YCW program on behalf of the Department of Canadian Heritage as part of the
Government of Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Strategy.

Don’t miss out – register now and monitor the YCW job board!

Watch this this short video  and visit our website to find out more about the program. If you are aged

The CMA is the voice for Canada’s vibrant museum community. We advocate for public policies and
support, we build skills across the profession, and we establish and inspire connections to strengthen
and sustain museums. We also have great bursaries available to emerging museum professionals.
