Business Analyst Summer Student (Development Services)

1 temporary full-time positions for 4 months, commencing in May 2020, intended specifically for students currently attending a business, management, planning, marketing or related post-secondary degree program
Are you passionate about project management? Do you excel at excel? Are you a wizard with words? Then join the Client Liaison Unit where you can put your skills and enthusiasm to work supporting the team that works on the most interesting and high-impact developments in Edmonton.
Responsibilities Include:
● Develop tracking sheets and dashboards for projects and stakeholders
● Update and create standardized templates for meetings, project scope descriptions, common inquiry responses
● Support the development of new marketing and communication resources
● Support event and workshop planning, preparation, facilitation and documentation
● Assist with other projects as required

Qualifications :
● Currently attending a general business, commerce, accounting, management, urban planning, marketing,
communications, social sciences, humanities or related post-secondary degree program
● Demonstrated proficiency using Google Applications
● Experience developing and using dashboards
● Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis with excellent attention to detail
● Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships
● Excellent problem-solving skills
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
● Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent). Obtaining and maintaining a City Driver's permit is a requirement of this position
● Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
● Familiarity with construction, civil engineering, real estate development, planning, or architecture is considered as an asset

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Salary: $19.749 - $25.135 (Hourly)
