Up to 2 temporary full-time positions for 4 months, commencing in May 2020, intended specifically for students currently enrolled in business administration, marketing, communications, political science, social science, public administration or related full-time post-secondary degree or graduate degree program
This position will be working as a Business Analyst in the Corporate Procurement and Supply Services Branch. The position will work with senior leadership to develop strategic business plans and an effective partnership model. The position will also assist with change management to facilitate process modernization.

Reporting to the Strategic Coordinator, responsibilities will include:
● Compile data and use analytical skills to generate comprehensive reports
● Support the preparation of documentation that supports business process analysis, redesign and implementation activities
(i.e. project plans; environmental scans and evaluation assessments)
● Support workshop and engagement session planning, preparation, facilitation and documentation
● Support the preparation of documentation or graphic that supports change management processes
● Attend meetings and engagement session to provide scribe support
● Conduct industry best practice research, identify and assess approaches in other municipalities to support analysis
● Undertake project work, under supervision, relating to knowledge management, environmental scanning or other related
● Review programs and initiate continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications :
● Currently attending a business administration, marketing, communications, political science, social science, public
administration or related full-time post-secondary degree or graduate degree program
● Enrollment in 3rd or 4th year, or an MBA program is preferred
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain strong working relationships
● Demonstrated ability to apply strategic and critical thinking to business analysis and decision making
● Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office suite and Google Apps
● Knowledge of research and statistical methods and techniques
● Knowledge of communication and/or marketing techniques
● Knowledge of strategy development
● Demonstrated ability to express ideas and concepts effectively
● Demonstrated ability to prepare and present technical briefs and reports
● Familiarity with performance measurement reporting tools, including terminology and approach is an asset

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Salary: $19.749 - $25.135 hourly
