Job Posting: Connection and Impact Summer Worker
Temporary @ 40hrs/wk in Edmonton, AB
This position is responsible to work collaboratively with the Connection and Impact team across all our campuses to continue to meet the needs of the department and multi sites during this season. This position will focus on church engagement and connection in person/online, impact ministry support and large event planning.
In this role you will:
• Serve at weekend services: guest services, connection and engagement online and in person.
• Serve during the week to supplement Pastor on Duty, visitation and guest service follow up as needed.
• Serve weekly with Celebrate Recovery to supplement non-ministry support for large group meetings.
• Work alongside the connection and impact team to plan and execute impact neighboring and events such as black party trailer, donation drives, car show, movie drive in and other special events.
• Work with team members to coordinate and produce online training on Ministry Grid.
• Administratively working with the Celebrate Recovery team to produce annual training material.
• Provide support for ministries such as Cherished (Sexual Exploitation Ministry), Friendship Ministry (Adults with Special Needs) and other ministries as needed.
• Other duties as mutually agreed upon.

• Confidentiality and screening for working with vulnerable sector of people.
• Demonstrated assertiveness and ability to develop and implement projects.
• Ability to work in a large, fast paced, multi-staff setting.
• Preferred graduate from a post-secondary institution with a diploma or certificate in pastoral care or related area or equivalent work experience.
• spiritual gifts: shepherding, administration and discernment
Desired Start Date: Specific date to be determined with the successful candidate.
Job Details:
Length: May – September 2022 (14 weeks)
Hours: 40hrs/week
Pay: $16.50 per hour
This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program and is pending grant approval.
