Production and Marketing Assistant

1 Full-time, seasonal position available.  $17/hr, 40 hrs/week. 

Work period May 1 – October 15, 2021 (maximum).  Shorter periods can be negotiated to suit college students.



  • No previous farm experience necessary – will train

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • Ability to multitask 

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work well alone and with others

  • Ability to work steadily with minimal supervision


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety policies and employ the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment and other safety equipment

  • Keep the workplace clean and tidy

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including heavy equipment

  • Complete miscellaneous farm chores including, but not limited to the following:

    • Feeding cattle

    • Monitoring pasture conditions

    • Treating sick and injured cattle

    • Moving cattle

    • Weeding the market garden

    • Growing and harvesting a variety of produce

    • Compiling customer orders (beef and market garden)

    • Making deliveries of produce boxes and beef orders

    • Building, rebuilding, and maintaining infrastructure, such as fences

  • Assist in marketing for the farm business including, but not limited to the following:

    • Finding and implementing ways to reach new markets

    • Contributing to and monitoring existing social media accounts for the farm

    • Assisting in website maintenance

    • Interacting with customers and the public
