MCCA - Horticultural Assistant Internship

This 14 week internship will be seconded to the Alberta Mennonite Heritage Cultural Society and its Mennonite Heritage Farm in Strathcona County, Alberta.  Interns will be involved with organizing the planning, planting, weeding, harvesting and marketing of the garden produce.  They will also be involved with special events such as concerts and open houses hosted at the farm throughout the summer.

This internship is a part of a comprehensive summer internship program designed to give students firsthand experience within a global non-profit in areas related to relief, development, and peace. The intern will be a part of cohort of summer interns who will meet regularly through out the summer to share experiences, learn from each other, and receive ongoing training. 

Position is contingent on external funding, to be confirmed at the end of April/beginning of May. Participants need to be between 15 and 30 years old, be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
