Fund Development Assistant; 250 hours (10h/wk for 6 months)

This role is responsible for providing the Executive Director and Fund Development Committee with administrative support in regards to fundraising activities for CCI-LEX.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is on a contract basis, with check-in meetings every two weeks by phone or in person. The Fund Development Assistant will be able to complete their duties at CCI-LEX and/or off-site. A more detailed timeline and list of deliverables will be developed with the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities:
 Provide support to the Executive Director and Fund Development Committee to execute fundraising activities, including email campaigns
 Analyze, assess, and optimize tools for donations through the Canada Helps platform
 Organize and manage donor database, email lists, and stakeholder groups
 Research potential funding sources (ex: sponsors, grants, awards, etc.)
 Support grant and donation applications through editing or writing of drafts, follow-up, etc.
 Update and manage a schedule of pertinent activities
 Develop documents and other collateral for potential donors (ex: PowerPoints, key messages, stewardship updates)
 Support donor recognition plan and create templates for recognition

Desired Qualifications:
 Knowledge of concepts, approaches and practices related to fund development and donor relations
 Some experience in organizing fundraising initiatives/campaigns
 Attention to detail; Ability to work independently to achieve deadlines
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media, and online tools; experience with Canada Helps an asset
 Marketing and communications experience an asset
 Pursuing or completed post-secondary education
