About your new Department:

Hinton Kids for Success Discovery Camp is committed to providing quality enhanced and developmentally appropriate child care for children during the 2019 summer season.  The goal of the program is to foster a sense of belonging in a nurturing environment where children feel accepted, and demonstrate a respect for diversity.  We believe that each child is unique, and age appropriate programs and activities are developed to provide an environment that nurtures each individual’s developmental needs.

 

Your New Responsibilities will include:

Discovery Camp seeks talented, enthusiastic, child-focused individuals to join our team for the upcoming season of 2019.  The position of Discovery Camp Leader is to plan and deliver a top quality, daily recreation program for children, ensuring that the activities are safe, fun, and appropriate for the age group in which they are delivered.

 

Your Qualifications:

This successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to relate warmly to children, as well as be physically and mentally able to provide high energy and enthusiasm.  You are required to provide:

  • Certified Development Assistant Cert.
  • Valid Child First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in child care an asset
  • Minimum 18 Years of age
  • Valid Class 5 License and Acceptable Drivers Abstract
  • RCMP Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Verification
  • Child Welfare Clearance

 

Terms of Employment:

  • This is a Full Time Temporary position working up to 40 hours per week based on flexibility.
  • $16.86 per hour.
  • This is a seasonal position working from  . mid-June, 2019 to the end of August, 2019.
  • $16.86 per hour.
