Job Description:

You will be working as part of the Youth Unlimited team to facilitate drop-in times and activities for youth at our TC Drop-In, in the town Centre area of Mill Woods. The drop-in is strategically located next to a major transit hub, and provides recreation, positive community, holistic care and mentoring to hundred of teens after school.


Duties will include giving oversight to: Planning, leading and facilitating youth drop-in times and activities at the Mill Woods Senior Centre, Building relationships with and mentoring teens, Written reporting and debriefing of activities, events and interactions with youth, Cleaning and maintenance of facility, Community networking with schools and key partners, Coordinating volunteers and more.



  • Youth work education and/or experience is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to relate to youth and an understanding of their culture and environment
  • Ability and willingness to establishing maintain strong community partnerships
  • Capable in leading and organizing staff, volunteers and youth
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new situations
  • Effective in planning and organizing group activities
  • Has a vibrant and growing relationship with
  • Able to provide successful Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Public speaking and group leadership experience is an asset
  • Leadership qualities should include: encouraging, facilitating and supporting, enthusiastic, taking initiative, working well with and serving others

Salary:  Starting salary of $20.00 / hr. Hours may range from 12 to 17 hours per week.


Hours: Monday and Wednesdays from 3 - 6 pm for drop-in. Planning, networking and outreach hours are flexible.
