Student Story: Fina Murphy-Gelderman
"I was led to study at King’s and this choice has blessed me more than I can say. Not only have I received an incredible thorough academic experience, but I have also have been inducted into a legacy of kingdom-builders, and have had thousands of opportunities to grow as a person.
Yes, I was worried about finances, but I listened to the call. The toughest part with attending King’s was the financial obstacles. I paid for all of my education working part time jobs to make ends meet, but finances became tighter over time. In the middle of third year I felt called to quit my job to invest time in studying and volunteering. Yes, I was worried about finances, but I listened to the call.
When it really counted and when I stepped out in trust, I received more than I could have imagined from scholarships and bursaries. The money eased the pressure and allowed me to do what I love and achieve the best grades in my academic history. If it were not for the rewards that I received from King’s donors, I would not have had the experiences and successes I have had."
