Leder Student Daniel Wako spends his summer as an intern at TLC
Daniel's role at TLC, a 24/7 unionized warehouse, is to create a positive work environment that engages employees to become productive while maintaining a safe work culture. The building is divided into three temperature-controlled areas and is approximately 550,000 square feet.
During the span of his internship, Daniel has predominately been employed within the inbound logistics department where decisions regarding quality checks, customer service, inventory discrepancies, trailer inspections, labour allocation, and budgeting have been trained and tested.
"Overall, the experiences gained has grown and developed my outlook on managing people, plans, and money. The art of mitigating risk while leveraging strategic advantages in a competitive world is one of the key take-aways I have developed from this internship."
