My Psychology degree at King's gave me the incredible opportunity to explore my passions and interests within an academic setting, as well as encouraged me to apply it to the world around me. Instead of simply conveying knowledge of the world, King's taught the importance of understanding and challenging our worldview. I was taught to seek justice in all areas of life, to love mercy and act kindly, and in all these things to walk humbly with our God. As I worked and built this foundation at King's, I was blessed to do it all within a close, supportive community of both students and staff who challenged me and gave me every opportunity to learn and grow. Upon this foundation I was able to learn through work in Edmonton's inner-city, through presenting at the Canadian Psychology Association Annual Conference in Quebec City in my final year of studies, and now living within Vancouver's Downtown East-side.
Rebecca lives and works with an inner-city ministry called Servants in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
