Introduction to Music Theory and Preparation

This course offers an introduction to the lifelong pursuit of music. It will examine music theory rudiments, ear training foundations, and performance tactics to better balance out your musicality. With interactive learning and coaching, this course prepares you for further study in music or simply to get you started on a new course in life.

Available as a public access course
This course is a non-credit public access course. Public access non-credit courses are offered at a reduced rate, and you do not need to be a King's student to register. 


Paige Knickle
Paige has Royal Conservatory training and has studied music at The King’s University earning a Bachelor of Arts with a Music minor in 2015 and a Music Diploma at MacEwan University in 2017. She received the Northern Star Talent Search Grand Winning Act award in 2009 performing a musical theatre piece. Paige specializes in musical theatre and classical styles, but enjoys studying other genres such as folk and funk.

Paige acts, sings, and dances in the 11 o’clock Number, Edmonton’s only improvised musical. In 2015, she opened her own studio for recording and voice instruction. Finally, she regularly performs with her band Hold for Home.
