Self-Hosted WordPress for Beginners

This course offers an introduction to self-hosted WordPress, exploring the advantages of the very popular management system and its features. Whether you want to create a website for a personal project, school, or a small start-up, this course expands your knowledge of how the web works and how you can leave your mark on it. Students will gain an understanding of the features and advantages of self-hosted WordPress as compared to other options. They will learn how to navigate the back-end of a WordPress site and how to create content that will appear on the front-end. Students will learn how to customize a website to suit their needs.

Available as a public access course
This course is a non-credit public access course. Public access non-credit courses are offered at a reduced rate, and you do not need to be a King's student to register. 


Paige Knickle
Paige has been designing websites since she was 12. She is proficient in HTML5 and CSS3. In 2011, Paige started working with self-hosted Wordpress and hasn’t been able to stop since. She has been designing websites for clients since 2015.
