UNIV-150 Academic Success Course

University-level study is exciting and challenging. At King's, we want to see all students achieve academic success. This course is designed to equip students with the study skills and tools needed to learn effectively. The course is delivered over eight weeks and covers the following:

  • effective reading and note taking
  • critical thinking
  • preparing for research
  • writing a research paper
  • making the most of faculty feedback
  • understanding your GPA
  • delivering an oral presentation
  • preparing for exams

The course meets once a week for a 50-minute class and runs each semester. It is delivered by staff and faculty. The cost of $20.00 is subsidized by King's to make it affordable for everyone. Sign up for UNIV150 through your OnLine Services.
