Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) was inspired by the parents of much-loved King’s student, Jonathan Langille, who sadly took his own life in February 2014. Jon’s parents wished to honour the memory of their son by working with King’s to raise awareness about mental health, specifically those associated with the complications of epilepsy.

A program of events was planned for the week of January 11 to 15 which included a tribute evening of music, drama, and discussion as well as activities which focused on the emotional, physical, relational, spiritual, and cognitive components of mental health and well-being.
