Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) was inspired by the parents of  much-loved King’s student, Jonathan Langille, who sadly took his own life in February 2014.  Jon’s parents wished to honor the memory of their son by working with King’s to raise awareness of mental health issues, specifically those associated with the complications of epilepsy.

A program of events was planned for the week of January 11th to 15th which included a tribute evening of music, drama and discussion as well as activities which focused on the emotional, physical, relational, spiritual and cognitive components of mental health and well-being.
