Derek is an MLA from Strathmore-Brooks. He was elected in 2015 as a Wildrose MLA and then became a United Conservative MLA when his party merged with the PC Party. Currently he sits as an independent. Prior to his political career, Derek was the Alberta director and national of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

Tartuffe is an old French play (written in 1664) but its wit and insight are timeless. 

Orgon's household is thrown into turmoil when he invites a vagrant posing as a poius clergyman to live with them. Orgron and his aging mother fall completely under Tartuffe's spell, but the rest of the family see through him. When Orgon tells his daughter Marianne that he will marry her off the fraud, they enlist the help of the maid Dorine to expose him.

Parents of students participating in the drama are encouraged to join us prior to the show for a dessert reception. This is an opportunity to meet other parents, professors, and relax with a coffee before the show. Tickets to the performance on Saturday are FREE for parents who attend the reception.
