Meet the newest addition to campus
A building for human and health science is an extraordinary step forward in our mission to inspire and equip future generations of professionals.
Built on hundreds of industry and academic partnerships and a track record of excellence in research and scholarship, this project cements King's as the top choice for science education and research at a Christian university.

Welcome Hall
A new main entrance flows seamlessly into the heart of campus. Visitors are greeted by friendly reception staff, and students enjoy warm afternoon light pouring in through large windows as they chat and study. Merchandise and faculty publications are available for purchase at the shop, and dynamic art installations by Christian, local, and Indigenous artists are on display.

New facilities for health science studies and research
State-of-the-art health science labs, kinesiology labs, and research spaces allow students to dive into projects, labs, and practicums. A new counselling suite offers a comfortable space for students to engage different therapy modalities. Spacious classrooms—purposefully designed for instruction in the sciences—accommodate courses like anatomy & physiology, psychopharmacology, and cardiovascular health.

Student-Focused Design
Cozy study nooks and group spaces are integrated throughout campus, and students choose the work environment that's right for them. Outside, the relaxing south plaza hosts groups of friends at a student event. A large gas fire pit provides 3 season enjoyment from the first warm days of spring to the last cool days of fall.

A New Home for King's Centres
The multi-disciplinary research wing brings together students and professionals from the Micah Centre, KCVS, and Sustainability Transitions Action and Research (STAR) Hub. Intentional spaces open the way for new cross-functional teams to collaborate, network with peers in the field, and connect with expert partners from around the world.

How will you make a difference?
Biology
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE | 3-YEAR, 4-YEAR
Study wild and wonderful creatures in their natural habitats and gain insights into the mechanisms that power health and genetics. Hands-on learning and a desire to understand the complexity of life are the heart of biology at King's.
Chemistry
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE | 3-YEAR, 4-YEAR
Be curious. Chemistry reveals the secrets of life's basic building blocks. Develop a deeper understanding of the molecular universe by studying and interacting with particles through fieldwork, labs, and research projects.
Computing Science
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE | 4-YEAR
Write programs and code that run smoothly and effectively. Harness computing power to solve complex problems and better understand how God has structured and ordered the universe.
Environmental Studies
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE OR ARTS | 4-YEAR
Be a caretaker of creation by understanding the scientific and social aspects of environmental issues. Be in awe of God's creation and confront pressing issues head-on to cultivate a world that flourishes with life and abundance for all.
Interdisciplinary Science
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE | 4-YEAR
A degree custom-fit to your calling. Choose two areas of study from biology, kinesiology, chemistry, computing science, mathematics, physics, and psychology. I.Sci. prioritizes applied learning and the interconnections between disciplines.
Psychology
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE OR ARTS | 4-YEAR
Neural pathways and brain chemistry are amazing structures that produce our thoughts and behaviour. Understanding these networks allows us to intervene and bring healing.

Jeny
B.Sc. Computing Science
Working with KCVS gave me hands-on experience in website development, showing me the practical impact of technology and problem-solving. It made me realize that I want to pursue a future in website or game development.

Ava
B.Sc. Interdisciplinary Science
Lab experience at King’s and the ability to do hands-on learning is vital to science education. It opens the door for research and grad school opportunities down the road, and really leads to a deeper understanding of what I’m learning.

Rio
B.Sc. Chemistry
In my first year at King’s I remember hearing students talk about summer research projects and knew that was my goal. Now I get to work with Dr. Cassidy VanderSchee on a grant project in the Athabasca Oil Sands.
Engaging undergrads in research
Student-faculty research is a particular strength of King's natural and computing science programs. Faculty are active scholars in their fields and intentionally build opportunities for undergraduate student to get involved in real-world projects throughout their courses and professional work.
