After receiving a letter of admission from The King's University, admitted students should consider the following next steps or explore unique next steps for Bachelor of Education, music, and international students.

1. Confirm Your Place at King's
To register for classes, you will need to pay your tuition deposit. Tuition deposits are non-refundable and applied directly to your account, reducing the amount you will need to pay in tuition and fees at a later date.

Students will be given access to their CrossRoad Online Services Account to register for classes once a tuition deposit has been received.
Paying Your Tuition Deposit
Tuition deposit payments can be made online. King’s also accepts these additional payment methods.
2. Apply for Residence
The best way to experience university life is to live on campus! Learn about our three residence options.
Guarantee Your Spot in Residence
First-year students who are starting in the Fall Term receive priority placement in the Tower Rooms (double occupancy) so long as they apply for residence and pay their residence deposit before June 15.
First-Year Free For Legacy Family Students
Students who have one or more parents that are alumni of King's will receive their first year in residence, free.

- June 15: Residence deposit deadline for Fall Term.
- August 25, 2025: Residence move-in day
3. Apply for Scholarships & Awards
In addition to King’s automatic Admission Scholarships (no application required), students can apply for competitive scholarships and awards at King's.
Important Dates
- February 1: Scholarships & Awards Application opens
- March 31: Deadline to apply for Scholarships & Awards
Note: Students must have received initial admission before March 31 in order to apply for competitive scholarships and awards for the next fall term.

4. Sign Into Your CrossRoad Online Services Account
Starting in April, and after you have paid your tuition deposit, you will be assigned a Student ID number that you will use to access your CrossRoad Online Services account. Once you are logged in, you will be able to:
- See important dates and deadlines.
- Accept your student contractual obligations.
- Update your address information.
- Register in courses!
- Request a letter of confirmation for RESP or scholarship purposes.
- Enrol in monthly instalments (monthly tuition payment plan) and more.
5. Apply for On-Campus Employment
A great way to earn some extra cash throughout the school year is through on-campus student employment. Jobs range from 5-15 hours a week and fit around your class schedule. Student positions are available in the library, front desk reception, security, cafeteria, bookstore, Admissions office, and more. To increase your chances of getting a job on campus, be sure to apply before the recommended April 30 early-bird deadline.

6. Select Your Courses
In the first week of April, after you have paid your tuition deposit, you will receive an email alerting you that online course registration has opened along with recommendations for first-year course selection based on your chosen program of study. Note: Students must be registered in 4 courses per term (12 credits) to be eligible to receive scholarships, 3 courses per term (9 credits) to be eligible to receive bursaries.
7. Check Your Student Email
After you pay your tuition deposit, you will receive a student email address. From this point onward, official communication from King’s will be sent to this email. Log-on to your email account using Outlook.
By default your user name and password are set to:
Email: firstname.lastname.stu@kingsu.ca
Password: “Kings#” followed by the last four digits of your home phone number (taken from your application), followed by the year, month, and date of your birth (Kings#PPPPYYYYMMDD).
Note: If your birth month or birthday is a single digit day, do NOT put a 0 before it, enter the individual number (i.e., January is 1 not 01).
8. Check Your Award Results & Accept Your Awards
Checking Your Results
At the end of May/beginning of June, you will be able to view your Scholarships & Awards Application results. If you have not yet paid your Tuition Deposit, view your results on your application portal; if you have paid this deposit, view your results on your CrossRoad Online Services account and click on “Important Documents.”
Accepting Your Awards
To formally accept your awards, you will need to pay your tuition deposit and register in classes by June 15. You will need to register in a minimum of 4 courses per term to accept scholarships, and at least 3 courses per term to accept bursaries.
9. Apply for a Government Student Loan
Government Student Loan Applications become available between mid-June and early July, depending on the province. You can apply online here. We recommend students complete the application at least 6 weeks before the term begins for the funds to come in on time. If you have questions, see Government Student Loan Information or contact the Student Finance and Scholarships Office.

10. Review Your Student Healthcare Options
The King’s University Students’ Association (TKUSA) offers health and dental benefits for students. There are four plans to choose from depending on what prescription, dental, vision, and extended health coverage you require. Students with comparable healthcare coverage may opt out of the plan.
11. Check Your Textbook List
Visit the Textbook Store to find textbooks and course materials. The Fall Term booklist is available in mid-August. The Winter Term Booklist is available in mid-December. Students are advised to wait until the first week of classes before purchasing their textbooks so professors can clarify which course materials are required.
12. Complete Online Confirmation
This is the final step to becoming a student at King’s. Complete Registration Confirmation through your Cross Road Online Services Account. You will confirm the number of courses you will be taking, pay for your tuition and fees, confirm your contact information, and upload a picture for your Student ID Card. Watch your student email for details on when and how to complete registration confirmation.

13. Attend Orientation
