Get involved on campus
Get involved at King's! We know that co-curricular activities are important. We believe what you learn in the classroom influences what you learn outside of it too. That's why we're dedicated to the development of every student and making sure you are provided with awesome opportunities to get excited about and new ways to something different.
From writing for the campus newspaper, planning events, taking on leadership roles, and more, there's a space for you to matter and belong. It's one of the best parts about a small, Christian university! Take a look at the different opportunities available to students here. We can't wait to see how you choose to get involved.

Student Leadership
Community Care Leaders
Community Care Leaders (CCLs) serve students who live on campus by building meaningful, lasting relationships with students in residence. CCLs build interpersonal and leadership skills, create a sense of community, and journeys alongside fellow students.
Ambassadors
Ambassadors share King’s with others by engaging in on-campus recruitment events as story-tellers, hosts, and informative peers. Ambassadors understand the importance of a faith-filled university education and proudly represent King’s to campus visitors.
Navigators
Navigators support King's First-Year Connect Groups and serve as welcoming, supportive peers for incoming students. Navigators assist first-years with start-of-year questions, plan opportunities to connect, and help students become comfortable with life at university.
In addition to gaining valuable experience for future career and educational goals, Navigators receive marketable training and free admission to First-Year Fall Retreat.
Student Publications
The Chronicle
Interested in leaving a legacy in King's official student newspaper? There are plenty of ways to get involved. The Chronicle needs talented writers, photographers, editors, illustrators, etc. such as yourself. The newspaper contains an eclectic mixture of opinion pieces on global and local affairs, campus news and event reviews, film and literature reviews, fiction, poetry, satire, comics, and more.
Regular contributors receive an honorarium for their contributions. Or, consider enrolling in CMNA 396 - Intro To Editing & Publishing (formerly ENGL 396) to work on the Chronicle and receive academic credit at the same time.
Ballyhoo
Curated and published by a team of student editors, Ballyhoo is the annual creative arts publication of The King's University, featuring poetry, creative writing, and visual art. Students, staff, and alumni contribute to Ballyhoo each year.
Student Media Team
Aspiring photographers, video-editors, and students interested in marketing-related careers can develop their skills and gain marketable experience by joining the Student Media Team. Paid positions are posted on our On Campus Employment page; or, reach out to Ore Dipe, Social Media Specialist, to develop your professional experience through volunteer opportunities and smaller projects.
