Staying on Top of Stress

It's crunch time and we can find ourselves victims of stress.  This interferes with our daily lives.  Managing it is important to maximize these last few weeks of the semester.  Here are a few tips to help you get through.

 

Get Organized.

Make time to study and relax. Try splitting your day into three chunks.  Morning, afternoon and evening.  Pick 2 to study and take the other off to do something different.  Whether it's painting, listening to music, dancing, baking or playing catch with your dog, a distraction from the books helps you return to them with renewed vigour!

Exercise.

Stress is generally lower in people who maintain a healthy routine.  Even a short daily walk is better than nothing.  Get some fresh air.  Spring is in the air!

Spend time with people you love.

Don't neglect your relationships.  A cup of coffee with family/ friends helps to keep you connected.  Or try studying with friends rather than by yourself.  Sharing life makes a world of difference to general well-being.

Water therapy

Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly.  Also, try ending your day with a relaxing bath infused with some aromatic oils.  It'll help you sleep well which is important if you are going to stay alert for those papers and exams.
