Top Tips for Exam Time

Dec 03, 2015

There is no doubt that this is truly the worst time of year. Papers are due and exams are looming, but I'm sure I don't need to remind you! With that in mind, here are some tips to help you along the way:

1. Get Organized

This one sounds boring, but I promise you, it's worth it! Spending a few minutes to plan out your day or week is a great use of time. Just make sure to set achievable goals for yourself, and break down big projects into smaller bits. Even if your goal is just to write one or two pages, I promise it will make the overall paper seem less scary if you do it bit by bit. And really, what is better than the feeling you get when you can check something off your list!

2. Take Breaks

You are not a machine, even though you might wish you were at this point! I don't care if the deadline seems close... taking a break will refresh your mind and make you more productive in the end.

3. Keep it All in Perspective

As important as exams are, they are NOT the sum total of who you are as a person. They're designed to show how much you have learned in just one specific area. So don't stress! Easy to say, right? I mean it. Just think, these exams are a stepping stone to where you eventually want to go. They are not the destination.

Also, keep in mind that Christmas is in sight. Just a few more weeks and we will get there!

Happy studying!
