The Best Secret Menu Level Drinks

Feb 18, 2020

Who doesn’t love warm beverages while chatting with friends or studying? Here at King’s we have our very own coffeehouse called ‘The Level’.  Even though you can never go wrong with the classic latte, cappuccino, or london fog, I compiled some ideas for new drinks to try out that aren’t on the original menu!

  • Dirty Chai
You have probably heard of this drink at other coffee shops.  To try this out, just ask for a chai latte with a shot of espresso added to it. Coffee and chai, what's not to love?
  • Specialized London Fog
I absolutely love these drinks! Instead of just getting the classic beverage, why not try it with a different tea bag? I usually ask for it with a vanilla tea bag, opposed to the original earl grey.  Other ones to try that would be tasty included African nectar, citrus, or maybe even breakfast tea. Also, a little trick is to swap out which syrup is used! The Level usually uses white chocolate, but try asking for vanilla (which London Fogs have usually) or coconut syrup instead.
  • Special Americano
Instead of just getting the classic americano, why not change it up? Ask for some milk foam on top and a flavour shot.  The Level has a ton of flavour options to choose from.
  • Macchiato
I usually get these at Starbucks.  Although it is not on The Level’s menu, ask the barista kindly to make you one.  Maybe even add a shot of a fun flavor!
  • “Bounty” Mocha
This is for my friends who enjoy sweet drinks.  Order a dark mocha, then ask for one shot of coconut and one of toasted marshmallow.  It’ll remind you of the classic “bounty” bar!
  • Salted Caramel Latte
Again, this is not found on the menu.  But, they will be more than willing to add a shot of caramel and a sprinkle salt.

Another amazing way to change up your drinks at The Level is to order a milk alternative.  Since I am sensitive to milk I do this every time I get a beverage, but my friends who are not sensitive to milk also get milk alternatives.  The coffeehouse offers soy, oat, or almond milk. It also uses fair trade coffee!

Enjoy experimenting!
