King’s has been a significant part of my life since 1998 when I began my studies at the university. I completed my degree in Environmental Studies and Business Administration in 2003. I’ve always said that my time as a student at King’s was when my faith took on life. King’s encouraged me to interact and engage with my faith in a way that I never had before.
I began working at King’s in the fall of 2003 as an Admissions Counsellor, responsible for student recruitment. I was passionate about sharing with other students what my time at King’s had done for me, and I wanted to encourage others to have that experience as well.
In 2009 I transitioned to the Development Office at King’s and started on the fundraising path that led me to where I am today, serving as Interim Vice President of Institutional Advancement. In 2014, I received my Certified Fund Raising Executive designation (CFRE). I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of initiating and building relationships with the diverse members of the King’s community. It has been incredibly fulfilling to witness first-hand the generosity of so many people who are passionate about investing in the future and in the lives of the students who study at King’s. It is an honour for me to serve God through my work at this institution and through my interactions with the King’s community.
I live on an acreage in Sherwood Park, Alberta with my wife Laura (BA ’02, BEd ’04) and our three daughters, Brooklyn, Myelle, and London. We love life in the country and as a family our favourite activities include camping, swimming, and walking/biking on the roads in our neighbourhood.
