Counselling Services

Counselling Office hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Walk-in hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily (subject to availability).

Counselling Office is in the Student Life hallway, Room A-142.

If you need to speak with someone and the psychologist is unavailable, drop in with Peer Support in N112.

Emergency Drop-In Hours 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. daily

Need to talk? Are you experiencing sadness, anxiety, mood swings, conflict with roommates, dependency on alcohol or drugs, grief, loneliness, abuse (past or present) food issues, self-doubt, relationship problems or other personal concerns? Need someone to listen with care?

Free and confidential crisis support or personal counselling is available from our psychologists. Students are invited to drop in or make an appointment.

When necessary, the psychologist can help refer you to other agencies in the community. Seeking help from the psychologist is a sign of strength, not weakness. "Toughing it out" is unnecessary!

Appointments with the psychologists are for student use exclusively and are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How much does this service cost?
This is a free service for all students attending The King's University.

Note that 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid a $50 no-show fee. If the fee is to be applied to your student account, the registry will be notified and an email will be sent to you.
