Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible for on-campus employment:

- Satisfactory academic standing
- In adherence with King's Student Code of Conduct.
Faculty of Natural Science
Under the supervision of the course/laboratory instructor, a Marking Assistant will grade assignments, quizzes, and/or laboratory assignments.
Marking Assistant Positions:
- CHEM200/201 (Fall/Winter Semesters)
- MATH200/205 (Fall/Winter Semesters)
- STAT313

Responsibilities
- Assigning grades to assignments, quizzes, or laboratories in a course
- Maintaining good communication with the instructor of the course
- Following guidance from the instructor for assigning marks, with or without a formal rubric
- Completing marking assignments in a reasonable time-period (typically 72 hours). The role typically requires between 4–8 hours per week, depending on the marking assignment and course/laboratory enrolment.
- Returning the graded assignments to the instructor
- Being fair and impartial in assigning marks
- Must disclose any conflict of interest that may arise due to these duties (for example, making the instructor aware if the marker has a sibling or close friend in the course for which they are marking)
- Maintain strict confidentiality about their role as a Marking Assistant and student grades
Marking Assistants should not:
- Be returning physical copies of assignments
- Be asked to consider requests from students to justify marking decisions
- Meet with students to give feedback on assignments or to provide help sessions
- Grade midterm or final examinations
- Have access to student marks or information beyond a list of student names
- Be given access to course grades other than those they are responsible for
Qualifications
- Candidate must have successfully completed (minimum grade of B+) the course they will be a marker. Equivalent course competency will be considered, for example a senior student majoring in a discipline could be considered for a non-majors course. For example, a 3rd year biology major would be suitable as a marking assistant for BIOL290.
- Candidate must be available for short meetings with the staff/faculty member teaching the course to receive marking instructions.
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be a fulltime King’s student in at least their 2nd year

Athletics
Average 4-6 Hours per week.
Schedule: Meet certain department deadlines on Monday and Wednesday. VERY self directed schedule, work around your class schedule, alongside some other weekly deadlines.
Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
Knowledge of programs like Excel, Microsoft Word required are required.
Responsibilities
- Aid Athletics in posting match/tournament results on bulletin boards
- Maintaining cleanliness of Athletics spaces (Equipment room, gym, fitness centre, breezeway).
- Other Tasks as required by Athletics staff
- Complete Laundry 1-2x per week (Towels, Jerseys, etc).
- Fitness Centre - vaccuum floor as needed, periodic sanitation of equipment, report broken machines.
