Bachelor of Education Application Package
In addition to submitting all necessary transcripts, Bachelor of Education applicants need to submit the following documentation:
- A short essay (750-1,000 words) outlining your philosophy of education. Included in this statement should be reasons for wanting to become a teacher, your personal view of the purpose of school in society, and your anticipated style or approach to teaching.
- A statement providing evidence of significant work or volunteer experience with children and/or adolescents (or completion of EDUC 251 or equivalent). Include a description of the work done and the position’s duration.
- A letter confirming your work experience from a supervisor.
- A personal recommendation form. This form should be completed by someone who is not a relative and knows you in a professional capacity (work supervisor, pastor, teacher, etc.).
After a complete application package is received, eligible applicants will have a personal interview with the Education faculty. If personal attendance is not possible, a phone or Skype interview may be arranged.
